Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru episodes 1-2 review ~ first impression

Hello Dramajjangers

“Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru” based on the manga, is a drama about Kurihara Mia (Takei Emi), a young woman who works as the PR of a huge jewelry company. She has not found the great love, that is why she breaks up with her boyfriend after, he asks her to marry him.

She then meets Miyoshi Kairi (Takizawa Hideaki), the vice president of the jewelry company and she falls in love with him. Only one little detail, he is married. Well, the drama is about Mia’s friends too, their lives, the troubles of work and love.

The story is a simple romance, but what has made me curious to keep watching this drama after the two episodes? First is that it makes you reconsider your morals in front of strong feelings. The main leads are interesting since they are not so perfect and they leave you shocked with their unexpected actions. It has interesting second leads.

Kurihara is a young next door girl, who lives with her best friend. She loves working with jewelry and gives meaning to them. That is why her job is very important. She is not very bright when it comes to relationships, but she knows what she wants.

Miyoshi Kairi, seems like a decent guy. His story is a bit of a mystery until now, I can’t quite write about his marriage. But it definitely seems like his life is oppressed.

About their love story. Let’s start with what most people would have as a “no no” to watch this drama and that is the main lead getting involved with a married guy. When I first read about it, I was troubled because I’m not really into this kind of stories. A married guy is a “stop” area and a married guy with kids is “NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT”. That’s my personal opinion and I’m pretty strict about it. I really wondered how would the drama make me ship a couple like that and not dislike the main leads.

Although Miyoshi’s marriage doesn’t seem that happy and innocent, Kurihara knows he is still in it. Plus she has hints that his wife had a hard time in the past because of him. In the first episode she tries to get away from him and throw away her feelings, but it doesn’t go that well. Him being nice to her doesn’t help either. I mean over the top nice. Do you kiss someone to save him/her for their stalker ex? I guess the words of Kurihara in the first episode, explain how ethics and dignity can easily disappear in front of love. Plus as Mori san wisely said love creates bad feelings too, like jealousy.

I like the fact that their relationship is not all about flesh, but things like Kurihara inspiring Miyoshi for the work, he didn’t value that much.

Miyazawa Aya is interesting too. Actually I have never watched a work from Nakamura Aoi before, I like his physic and I think it fits the role. Well Miyazawa  is shady and it seems his intentions are not that pure. He wants to destroy Miyoshi, but why? Will there be any romance developed between him and Kurihara it seems it going that way.

I like a lot the Akari and Kuno story and I ship them already more than the main couple. But him sleeping with Chiaki is very disappointing. Why would you sleep with the friend of the girl you like? I smell some drama coming in the next episodes with those three.

Talking about next episodes, now Miyoshi’s wife is almost sure there is something between her husband and Kuriahara. Yota has witnessed something shocking and Miyoshi has received an offer from Kurihara to be his lover. That’s a wise desicion from her is she wants to feel terrible and hide whenever she meets the couple.

In conclusion “Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru”, is a cute, easily digested drama for the hot summer. What do you guys think?

p.s For the figure skating lovers like me, how lovely Grace Gold is?

I like it. Rest assured my morals will not be influenced by this drama with the premise of adultery. I would have turned into a samurai hero after watching all the samurai movies if dramas/ movies had such great influence on me.

First, I’m not a fan of jdorama. Also, this is the first i had watched one after 10 yrs i think. But hey! I was hooked! It’s a very good drama! Excellent rather! It will shaken up your morals at first. But then, it will open up your mind with what do a mistresses really feels. I was able to realize thar you really won’t understand people until you heard their story and that’s what this drama implies. I was happy with the ending! It endee up on the right manner. I don’t regret watching jdorama again. Excellent story, very realistic! I love it!

Yes I understand your point of view. For me it’s just the story could have been told in a better way. I mean I have no problem with the mistresse’s story. It just got a bit cliche and boring along the way.
