Alright, Moorim School has managed to entrap me in its promising world and right before it starts airing I wanted to share some thoughts. The absence of a Moorim School oriented line in the beginning is justified by the fact that the drama hasn’t aired yet, so i put a line from another drama, if you find from where it is you will earn a small piece of my heart! I can’t possibly tell where the storyline may be going to, but judging from the synopsis we’re bound to enter a different school environment. The fact that it’s detached from the rest of the world (in a White Christmas manner of speaking, but it appears completely different when it comes to the details) makes the overall ambiance even more intriguing and evokes a sense of mystery concerning the school’s teaching methods and code of ethics.

Some of the teasers possessed a ritual-oriented ambiance when it comes to the martial arts training process and taking into consideration the synopsis’ indication that Moorim School intends to embed values like sacrifice, faith, honesty, etc in the students’ daily lives I assume that the drama may be leaning towards a revival of the past’s virtues at the present. I am really curious about Moorim School story-wise and even if it adds some magical elements in the process it won’t bother me at all as long as it won’t make the drama look like a Halloween version of a Harry Potter pandemonium the Korean way, unless it’s way too humorous!

Teasers/trailers are always more dazzling, that’s their purpose anyway, to attract people towards a drama and/or a film, but the first hints of cinematography appear interesting and I am looking forward to the drama unveiling its surrounding world to a wider extent, episode by episode! The fact that some teachers and students come from different cultural backgrounds is an interesting aspect, but I can’t really say that I am impressed every time Westerners appear in Korean dramas. However, I hope that things will be better this time and I’ll remain neutral until Moorim School’s Westerner figures do the talking!

It’s time for me to enter the drama confession box for honesty’s sake. The real reasons why I am here have to be Seo Ye Ji and Jeong Eugene. Even though The Night Watchman’s Journal was a nearly traumatic drama experience it managed to introduce Seo Ye Ji’s charming radiance to me. I still have to watch three episodes in order conclude the Last drama chapter in my life, but up to the 13th episode she was shining in her own way and in a more demanding role while proving that her acting skills had improved.

Jeong Eugene was highly representative of her role in Heard It Through the Grapevine, but she had the chance to shine more in Because It’s the First Time. She doesn’t only get prettier with the passing of time, her acting capabilities grow stronger as well and I am glad that she found herself in a more leading role.

I haven’t seen Hong Bin acting before and Moorim School will be a great chance for me to witness his acting skills! As for Lee Hyun Woo, he was magnificent in Northern Limit Line and I will be looking forward to his interpretation here as well! Hands down, Shin Hyun Joon is a great actor and I simply expect the best from him. Lee Beom Soo’s guest appearance will make things even more interesting for Lee Beom Soo reasons, it’s as simple as that and if you don’t believe me ask Versailles Yoo!

Judging from the 2nd teaser, our acting team is having lots of fun and I am glad we had the chance to witness these bright vibes (for chemistry reasons too)!

Even though it appears to be breathing a different air, Moorim School remains a school drama, this means that it will possess its own dark vibes and to make things clear, I am always looking forward to the painful characteristics of a school drama without this meaning that i’m not craving for brave amounts of laughter! I am not only curious about the characters’ background stories, I am also curious about the school itself and everything it preserves! Oh, the feels! Of course I am looking forward to the feels and my feel-o-meter is ready for romance, bromance and character background oriented feels!

Alright, bring it on, Moorim School!

I so can’t wait for this drama! I love the vibe and cinematography. I’m new to most of the actors, but still really excited. Have you seen Seo Ye Ji in Potato Star? It doesn’t really display her acting range, but she is hilarious and adorable. Looking forward to seeing her in this!

And hope that our excitement will only be the beginning of a highly enjoyable drama, Moorim School, don’t disappoint us! 😀 Just checked potato star, it’s 120 eps :O How many mins is each ep? You made me curious, want to laugh so much with a Seo Ye Ji char (and of course have her in my sight, but shh XD )

Haha, yes it’s a lot of episodes! They’re only about 30 minutes each though. It is a sitcom, so it really does have a different sort of feel. It’s a drama I’ve been watching for about year and am on episode 80. I have come across people who have marathoned it though.

There’s also a large cast like in a family drama. I like most of the characters, but I find Seo Ye Ji particularly funny and really like the episodes that focus on her. It’s a simple show that’s good for some laughs and can easily be watched at a more leisurely pace so you have time for the many regular dramas that are constantly coming at us 🙂

30 minutes, that’s interesting!!! I searched around for subs and i noticed that the last eps aren’t subbed, is it true or i should do more research? XD The overall Potato vibes you transmit (including the Seo Ye Ji ones XD ) are strong and tempting!

I’m hoping that Eugene and Hongbin character will end up together 😀 I think it would be cute since it seems they like different people kn the beginning.

Yup, it would be an interesting emotional twist and they wouldn’t be left alone in the end if Soon Deok and Shi Woo end up together! 😀
