Three Day Quotes Challenge ~ Day 1 ~ Dramajjang

“Seeing something unthinkable in the most unlikely place;
That bizarre existence of the unimaginable stirs up confusion and fear.”

This is an article written by Kwon Sang Seung only for Dramajjang.co.

Undeniably, South Korean and Japanese dramas have some powerful lines, lines that are inspiring, thought-provoking and/or have the potential to evoke feels. Even if a drama isn’t the most pleasant experience and may feel like a severe loss of time, chances are high you will find a handful of lines in that nerve-shaking maelstrom that will strike a chord and will slightly make up for all these wasted hours. The quote in the beginning is from Awl’s Lee Su In (Ji Hyun Woo) and has nothing to do with the previous sentence since it’s a great drama.

At this point i would like to deeply thank Kdrama Kisses (visit her blog and get drama-kissed!) for nominating me for the Three Day Quotes Challenge and here i am with my own favorite drama quotes, just three among the many! This challenge isn’t only about South Korean or Japanese drama quotes, you can present any quote from wherever you want to (book, film, drama, song, etc), three in number as a whole (if you want to break the rules feel free to do so!), and then it’s your decision whether you’ll post all of them together in a single post or one per day! Some of you already know that i can’t nominate only three people, so i will be nominating three people per day in this 3-day challenge!

Today’s nominations have to be… *gong sound in the far distance*

The precious chingu Apqaria who has a crush on Lee Da Hae!
The fellow drama sheriff Evelyn who lives on dramas’ 9th cloud!
The postcard chingu Nelly who won’t adopt me until i quit smoking!

The first quote comes from one of my favorite dramas, Hirugao which is a quote-machine for sure, especially when it comes to that thing called love and the feelings that make one’s heart pound differently in an uncertain yet blissful tempo without neglecting the consequences. Pain, wherever it derives from, is something personal and the reasons why each and every human being feels hurt is personal, nobody has the right to neither categorize one’s pain nor weigh it, some things are meant for you and you; alone. I loved the comparison of a theory to one’s personal belief when it comes to his field of knowledge and the most personal field of one’s self. The quote will reveal the rest.

Insects are said to lack the sense of pain.
Organisms experience pain so they can deflect danger and lengthen their lives.
But insects live such a short life, they don’t need pain;
That’s one theory.
When we’re sad and hurt it’s because humans were given such long lives;
That’s what i think.
(Yuichiro Kitano – Takumi Saito)

And here’s my favorite song for this December and it’s filled with a heartrending ambiance, an even more devastating refrain where words are no longer needed as the melodious weeping and reminiscence do the talking and most and above all, an old school video clip with all the necessary like-minded vibes!

See you again tomorrow with the second day of the challenge and its quote, if a stroke won’t befriend me while recapping Oh My Venus’s 11th episode throughout the night!

    Nelly, I don’t know you but Kwon is lying when he says he’s smoking; he’s not smoking, HE IS THE SMOKE HIMSELF. Don’t adopt him ever!

    (can you believe that I still haven’t watched Hirugao? All the quotes I’ve seen, point for it to be a gem of a drama (plus Aya!) and I still haven’t found freaking time. Poop.)

      *lights a cigarette* XD
      Aya says the sexiest yet angry sayonara in the world in Hirugao: “saYOOOOOOOOOOOOOna!” Both the drama and Aya are gems!

    What is that, I see my name!!!
    Thanks Chingu for the nomination (I still need to figure out exactly what I should do ^^) and for a forgetful human like myself, I will find some hard time to remember any drama quotes. Kwon always gives me hard tasks 😀

      Huhu, hope it won’t be too much of a torment, they don’t have to necessarily be from a drama, just quotes you love, i preferred to head towards drama-quotes myself ^-^ Hard tasks but always with love, there’s no way you wouldn’t get nominated:D
