Blood ~ Finale

Hello DramajjangersBlood_(Korean_Drama)-p1

Is it too late for a ” Blood ” finale review?

Blood was the drama of the year that made me feel confused more than any other drama. If I have to give an example about how I felt about it. It was like meeting a cute guy, having thoughts of dating him but while learning more about him finding things that made you drought your decision then decide not to date him, then seeing some good quality in him changing your decision then going back to the droughts in the end you didn’t know what do. If this example made you confused then you understand how I felt for ” Blood ” : P

contains spoilers

The only sure thing about the last two episodes is that they had too many deaths. The one that made me sadder was Joon Hyun Woo’s, well it didn’t match my sorrow of prince Oberyn dying in ” Game of thrones ” but it was sad. At least my ship had some cute moments before what happened.

Lee Jae Wook becomes the ultimate enemy and goes after everyone. Even his side kicks realise he has turned into a soulless mean person, so they try to help Park Ji Sang mostly Ga yeon. She didn’t disappoint me, after all she had a nice character.

Episode 19 was better than episode 20. It had more suspense, but episode 20 turned a bit into everything you had expected to happen. Bad guys get Yoo Ri ta, Park Ji Sang goes to find her we have a vampire battle, the vampires die at the point except from Park Ji Sang who lasts till dawn, because we have to watch the romantic teary scene between him and Yoo Ri Ta. In the beginning of the episode Park Ji Sang has to sacrifice his self because his blood will help the patients, if I understood correctly, but the writers seemed to forgot about that after a while. We never learn what happened the patients, it was just ok we have to show what happens to the characters and forget about everything else.

There were many things that gave me many questions like did they never report Jonn Hyun Woo’s death to the police or after the scene were Lee Jae Wook killed all the policemen then Yoo Ri Ta freely carried a wounded Park Ji Sang to the top of that building which must have been the hospital.

Anyway Yoo Ri Ta travels to Kochenia were Park Ji Sang’s somehow adopted daughter lives. They both had promise to travel there together, but Yoo Ri Ta fulfilled the promise alone and met the little girl she wanted for so long. At the end of the episode she goes to eat at a restaurant alone looks at a picture of her and Ji Sang alone, someone stalks her. Some western vampires go after her, we don’t know why a mysterious vampire appears and saves her and that vampire is Park Ji Sang with a different hairstyle she gives him her hand and starts showing. Why were those caucasian vampires after her and Park Ji Sang is alive? What? Didn’t she bury him? Where was he all this time?

I didn’t mind the ending a lot since somehow it wasn’t a drama I was passionate about so a bad or a good ending wouldn’t affect me it was just an ending.

I’ve said before, 20 episodes for ” Blood ” were too many and the writers ended up stretching the story. There were episodes that were interesting and then the were episodes I felt like dropping the drama and this kept on changing till the end. I have to admit I skipped some parts between episodes 15 and 19 but there weren’t that many.

Most of the actors did a good job and Ahn Jae Hyun was decent till the end. I have to say though that Park Ji Sang’s character wasn’t a demanding one. I don’t get why Ku Hye Sun received so much hate for me after the first two episodes where her character was annoying on purpose, she did a very good job. She didn’t have to apologize.

The direction was good and the photography too. The nice instrumental music created a nice atmosphere to the drama, but in a dramaworld where a huge amount of dramas keep appearing and they try to make it to the first place, ” Blood ” is a weak force.

I wouldn’t recommend it for someone to watch it or I wouldn’t rewatch it either. But I don’t put it in my category of bad dramas like ” My lovely girl “

This drama gets a 6,5 / 10 from me for the effort

What about you?

I couldn’t stick with this show , at some point I just felt like the writers were deliberately insulting my intelligence . The word that comes to mind when I think of Blood is cheesy .

I agree with you, but somehow I couldn’t drop it. Some episodes made me watch more :/

I only watched the last episode. Why? Because I can, who would stop me from doing so? Ha! So of all I’ve seen of this drama which isn’t much, it was like the bad fanfic that you know is bad, but since it’s a genre you like anyway, you just go with it until the end because… why not?
Do you think Ahn Jae Hyun was really ready to be a lead? It does feel like this move was more of a step back in his career… but who knows?

The last episode doesn’t do justice to rest of the drama, not that the rest of the drama was a masterpiece, but the last episode not good. Ahn Jaehyun needs to work, but he has potential. Taking on a lead role is too much work and he didn’t do terrible, no that that’s an excuse. You should watch whichever dramas and episodes you want ; )

I wanted to give up the constant debate on this drama but it keeps poping up and forces me to comment! It was so bad that I still can’t believe JJH was part of it. AJH has a loooong way before his next attempt at leading role, GHS acted in a much lower level than she obviously did in Angel Eyes and the writers of Good Doctor were on something or they suffered a major concussion while were writing ( I’m running out of excuses here, ladies and gents!). And a teeny-tiny bit of advice: If you need to think so hard on whether to date a guy or not, start running subito, cute or no cute…you’re losing time and precious gray matter.Ciao…:))

I don’t know if it was the vampire theme, that couldn’t help this drama from the beginning. I’m waitting for ” orange marmalade ” to compare. I can’t blame the actors they did the best they could considering the drama, Ahn Jae Hyun needs to work, he has potential. I’ll follow your advise, but trust me dating isn’t easy when it comes to guys from Greece ; P

Hahaha…Greek guys are just mama’s boys! If you charm the mother-in-law and feed the guy something delicious until he bursts you’re on the right path…sorry, Kwon Sang Seung-ssi, but this is the bitter truth, XD! Hana girl friend, this small tip probably applies to every Greek guy alive! Trust me on this…

Hahahahahahaha you’re so right on this one, many many Greek guys are like this, but there are some of the other type, who are a bit of casanovas and ” troubled ” spirits : P

Personally I loved this drama, it kept me interested in what was going to happen next and also gave room for your own imagination to kick in (like the ending episodes). I’ve watched it twice now and never get tired of it!

Well it was intresting, but not something I would watch again. Everybody has his own taste though 🙂

I just watched it now it is already 2019! Lol. I have to watch the last episodes again when Park Ji Sang was talking to Chief Jung and the conversation between Dr. Choi and Dr. Jung about him. That he could live without a heart and he has to die to cultivate the cure for 20-30mins. And bec his blood is auto-genesis…he can live again! Because this is a theory and not been proven that’s why everyone is concerned that it might fail. He is not that affected much with the sunrise because they could have injected the decomposed blood already and it won’t react anymore to a dead infected and because he is of pure blood he can heal faster. Him being alive at the end means the antibody worked.. and it was successful making him stronger than ever even as a human! So Yoo Ri Ta is all in to the experiment and when Park Ji Sang died of course they have to revive his body and observe him. It can take longer before his body will be totally cured and by the time he woke up Yoo Ri Ta is gone to Koechenia already as planned. So when she saw Park Ji Sang there it is as if she already knew that it was him but was to amazed to react or in a dreamy state when she realized that the cure was real! The end.
