OSTrich Mondays #9

bscap1271If you haven’t watched Mnet‘s new drama’s 1st episode, The Lover, you should definitely give it a shot and see whether it paces with your sense of humor or not! It’s like an earthquake underneath drama land’s surface. It worked perfectly fine for me and it was what i really needed to obtain a Joker smile starting from my lips and reaching my ears! It was more than expected in terms of laughter and i’m really glad. But let’s see what music will go through my braincells after The Lover‘s electroshock!

Okay, let’s change the subject a bit. I won’t hide it, i love dramas and/or movies concerning the Korean War. They have a wide variety of feels from utter comradeship to the unavoidable sense of loss, depicting that war is mankind’s worst self-destructive weapon, but also presenting all the courage, the longing, the hatred, the struggle and every single constructive or deconstructive feeling that gets filtered through this violent maelstrom. Comrades is one of my favorite dramas for aforementioned reasons and many more. It wasn’t only a magnificent drama in turbulent times, but it also possessed a captivating OST. So here’s Insooni‘s fragile “I Will Come Back” since i utterly cherished the drama romance struggling to wither while blossoming still under the sleepless stare of the circumstances.

And another great song from Comrades, a heartfelt ode to comradeship with a sense of hope and longing through unity and remembrance, “Friend/Chinguya“, as it was sang from the cast of the drama, offering the composition an even greater emotional charge:

elles viennent
autres et pareilles
avec chacune c'est autre et c'est pareille
avec chacune l'absence d'amour est autre
avec chacune l'absence d'amour est pareille
