Koinaka episode 5 ~ review

Hello Dramajjangers

there are two things, that the fifth episode of Koinaka made us wonder “Why does life have to be this complicated?” and “Why do things have to be complicated?”

In the last episode Akari had disappeared, in order to find her father. Aoi talks to Shota, trying to convince him that he should go after her. But Shota is moody, since he has just broken up with Akari.

Aoi decides not to get involved in Akari’s decision to leave and to continue with his life. He and Saeki spend time together. He gives her, his beautiful smile, only to get it back later. One thing I hate about main leads, is being immature. He is in love with Akari, but ok as I wait for her to come to me, let’s play with someone. Well Aoi is not aware of what is going to happen with Akari, but I can’t help being annoyed by his relationship with Saeki. They decide to go on a date together.

Saeki finds out, that Akari was looking for her father’s address at the work place. During her date with Aoi, she realises he is worried about Akari. Not being the evil girl, she gives Aoi the address and tells him to go find Akari.

Akari has left earlier with the bus and Aoi runs to find her. If Saeki was not there to encourage him to go look for her, would he have gone? Aoi is cool but sometimes the fact that he is not determined becomes tiring. Actually in the first place, if he was brave enough to confess to Akari, then we wouldn’t have all this drama.

Shota is left behind at Aoi’s place talking to Kouhei, Evil Aoi is trying to make his self less evil in this episode. He explains how he didn’t want Akari to meet her father, because she would get hurt. He informs Aoi, that Akari’s dad has a new family. Maybe that way he doesn’t want to leave her alone. He admits he is insecure and he wanted Akari all by hisself, but of course that doesn’t mean he can be forgiven for the letter he stole.

Meanwhile Akari finds her father’s place. He has a new wife and lives with her and her daughter. Akari lies to the woman and says she is someone from work. I’m not gonna talk about what a terrible person Akari’s father is. She gets to be the bigger person, saying she is going to pay for the money he took from Shota and wishes him a good health. He asks her if she is going to marry the doctor, at first I thought he was going to ask for more money, like seriously corrupted people are corrupted. Akari  says she will get married, probably she wants to skip the conversation with the father that left her, she gives an answer that will end their discussion. Her dad wishes her a happy life.

Akari runs out of the house and express the tears, she has been holding in. But on the road she finds Aoi. How sweet to have someone there for you without even asking, when you are frustrated.

They have a walk by the sea and Aoi starts screaming telling Akari to do the same and not hold back her feeling anymore. Then they shit by the sea. Akari says she is going to stay there for a while, Aoi can go if he wants to. But Aoi says he is going to leave when he decides it. A determined Aoi appears finally.

They light up some fireworks and that brings back the memories. They are clear to each other about their past feeling and what happened. Akari says what the letter wrote. It’s ironic how they’re being clear about the past, but don’t do the same for the present repeating what happened.

The first kissu comes, when Akari has fallen asleep and Aoi kisses her. That’s the only way Aoi can kiss Akari. Despite that fact it was a cute scene and Akari witnessed it too. But as she always hides her feelings (it’s their friendship thing) she pretends she sleeping.

This episode gave us the questions, as I said in the start, but the answers too. Life for them is not complicated, they made it that way. If the could only be sincere with their feelings and each other, then everything would be easier. That goes for most of the characters. I support Kouhei for chasing his love for Nanami.

What about you guys?

I saw the trailer, seems like Aoi will try to get Akari’s love, but maybe she will choose Shota because he is the one that was next to her for five years, despite his wrong doings.

Ep6 is subbed in dramacool and thankfully Akari has moved on from Shota. I think the dramas biggest flaw is trying to make us feel bad for lying, cheat that ruined her love, life. He deserves punishment for tricking his friends.

Will be interesting to see what you think of ep 6. His lies make him horrible and hateful every new ep. The preview of ep 7 i was disgusted by thoughts. Your review, recap is pretty clear on what you think of him so i wonder what you think of him in ep 6-7.

Me too, i find Nanami too be really cute and Kouhei is very annoying when he is trying to help Shota be awarded for being withAkari the 5 years he stole from her and Aoi.

Kouhei doesn’t know the bad things Shota has done. He is a good firend trying to help him, but I think he wouldn’t do it if he knew the truth.
